Lindsay Dunstan

I want to thank Lindsay Dunstan, my physical therapist, who is very cute by the way, for helping me walk the best that I have ever done since losing my leg.  I have been released from physical therapy now by Dr. Fox who gave me the results of my brain scan.  Good news:  I do have a brain!  Lindsay helped me a ton walk better and one of the things that she did was introduce me to a fellow amputee, Bill, who showed me what it looked like to walk well.  Thanks Bill, Lindsay and Ann Marie.  Why are all the physical therapists married??  I am no longer lifting my left hip to walk but using what is left of my left femur and it is so much easier to walk now that I am finally doing it correctly.

Plaid Socket

I received my new socket a couple of days ago and it is PLAID!!!!  Dress Campell Plaid to be specific and I have been approved for physical therapy which pleases and excites me, for I am not satisfied with my walking gate or my balance.  I want to thank everyone at Atlantic ProCare who supports me and has helped me ever since I lost my leg:  Jerald Cunningham. John Paul Donovan and Laura Morgan who is cute by the way.  I also want to thank Dr. Elwood Fox who has approved all of this but he is an impossible guy to get a hold off.

Test Socket

I received a test socket a few days ago and I am to wear it until my permanent socket is done.  My permanent socket will be in dress campbell plaid......  I am to start therapy soon and I am so excited.  I will try to take a picture of my new socket when I get it but I am technologically challenged...

Need new socket and therapy

I saw my prostitist a couple of  weeks ago (Gerald) and Laura, my old physical therapist, who now works with him at Atlantic ProCare,  They said I need a new socket, liner and straps not to mention additional physical therapy so I can walk better.  I then had to see my physiatrist, Dr. Fox, who agreed and approved this so I can have it done and it will be paid for.   I am also supposed to have wrist surgery soon for my fused wrist is coming undone and causing me lots of pain.  I am trying to hold off on the wrist surgery............
