Progress
I am walking so much better now!!! I am now working with Nat at Riverview for my PT and what a difference!! I am walking with my feet close together and really shifting all of my weight over on my prosthetic side when I take a step with my left foot. I can't wait for Jerald and Dr. Fox to see my progress. I just wish that my sons could see.

I saw Dr. Fox on Friday at New England Rehabiltation Hospital. My lower back and my residual limb are killing me. I saw my PCP a couple of days ago and he diagnosed a pinced nerve and gave me some prednisone and vicadin to take. I like the vicadin but the prednisone is weird for I had to take 4 for 3 days and now I am taking 3 for 3 days and then 2 for 3 days and finally 1 for 3 days.
Dr. Fox is adament about me not taking any of the vidadin and since I respect and like him, I will follow his advice. I think finally my back and residual limb are beginning to feel better. Thank you to all my doctors!!! Thank you to my prothesist, Jerald Cunningham, for everything he has done and continues to do to help me walk better. Thank you to my therapist, Shelly Coule for always being there for me.

New mechinism
I got a new mechinism for my leg a couple of days ago. No more bolt/pin on the end of my stump/residual limb. It will always be a stump to me but they like the politically corrrect term. It is so much more comfortable.

Stop Thinking!!!!!
I met with Dr. Fox, my prosthesist - Jerald Cunningham, and my physical therapist - Shelly Coule this week and they all want me to walk without thinking! In fact they are insistent on it!!! They don't care what my real (right) foot is doing and they don't want me to think about walking at all. "Just walk"
They argue that I am thinking way too much and in doing so, I am making walking much harder, much more difficult than it needs to be. In fact they say just do it. I know it sounds like an old Nike commericial but I think that I have finally got it through my thick cranium. I guess then it should be easy or at least much easier than I have made it.
